The Fun Starts at SummerPrep! SummerPrep is for students in grades Pre-K through high school. SummerPrep offers students enriching and creative academic, tech, art, and sports classes – an opportunity to learn new skills or build on existing talents. We foster discovery and exploration and encourage students to enjoy themselves in a safe, supportive environment.
Our classes are small, so each child receives personalized instruction. There are many classes from which to choose, so your child can look forward to fun and exciting experiences at SummerPrep. Make it a summer your child will remember for a lifetime!

We offer summer treks for kids ages 10-18 lasting from 2 to 6 weeks. All of our treks spend time at our 540-acre nature preserve basecamp as well as time “on the road” exploring the Southwest. The Rock 101 Summer Sessions aims to empower youth through music. Small group lessons, guest band performances, and hands-on educational workshops will help you gear up to perform a live show with your own band! Summer Art Camp is for campers 6 (entering 1st grade) -13 years old. Your child will experience hands on learning about ART! He/she will work on a several projects and use a variety of materials. Your child will learn about a famous MASTER and try their hand at creating their own Masterpiece in that artist’s style. We will also enjoy walks on the Acequia to appreciate ART in nature.

The Young Explorers Camp program offers summer camps for children ages 5 to 12. Each camp lasts one week as campers investigate a scientific topic in depth. Our knowledgeable instructors guide students on a fun filled week of learning and adventure. There’s a camp for everyone as we explore all the science topics you can think of, including space exploration, dinosaurs, volcanoes, engineering, and so much more! If you’re camper loves bugs, astronauts, art, or crystals we have a camp for them. Campers will also participate in hands-on science, tours of the exhibits, and interactions with our museum scientists!

We are a local non-profit and we have been teaching chess as a tool to help kids develop cognitively, socially, and leadership skills since 2010. Our summer camps are where many of our students make the most progress in their maturity through the game of chess.
Our summer chess camps have proven to be fun and enriching experiences for chess students of all skill levels! Bricks 4 Kidz is an interactive camp that will bring out your student’s inner engineer!
We use Lego bricks to build motorized and character models! This camp is perfect for students kinder- 7th grade!
Our older students will be challenged with our more complex models and our younger students will focus on the basics of building with our easier models! Either way your little engineer will be learning without even knowing it. Our camps are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and spaces are limited.
