ALBUQUERQUE

I am a Mexican-American Albuquerque native, born and raised in the South Valley part of this wonderful city. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I’d still be living here with my little family, I would have laughed. Throughout my adolescence I always told myself I would move far away from this city. But as I traveled to other states and cities, I always managed to miss home. And that’s exactly what Albuquerque will always be home. Also, let’s face it. I would honestly miss the chile and food wayyy too much!

My favorite thing about Albuquerque is the people. I have found that no matter where in the world I’ve visited, the nicest and most diverse folks were always back home. I also love the crisp fall nights. My son has decided that our family tradition is to go to Old Town on a chilly, beautiful afternoon, grab a cup of hot chocolate, and check out all the local goodies. I love this city for its beauty, but even more so now because my husband and I have planted roots here. I still have so much left to discover about my sweet city. So if you see my little family and I out exploring, please say hello! We love meeting new people!

MOMS

Mommin’ aint easy but it’s worth it!

Most would say I started my journey into motherhood a little early in life. But I say it was the perfect timing because it was God’s timing. My children have taught me more about life since I’ve become their mother than I would have learned in a lifetime of solitude. While being a mother is only one title I have, it’s by far my favorite! Our journey has not been the easiest to say the least. But that’s what makes it so beautiful.

For a little while, it was just my son and me. And that time period really made me grow far beyond my years. Luckily, God paved the way for me to remarry. And I met my incredible, handsome husband, Peter. Two years later we welcomed our beautiful baby girl. My kids, Zachariah (5) and Luna (1) are the kindest, most selfless little humans that teach me how to be their mama. I’m definitely still learning every single day. Being a SAHM is such a blessing. But on most days I am barely hanging on by the grace of God. And my hair is hardly ever combed. (Balance is key mamas. Oh and coffee. Lots of coffee.)

BLOG

I started blogging about 5 years ago when I was navigating how to be a working mom and a gym enthusiast. My blog was going strong for a while until my life began to go through different seasons, resulting in pushing writing to the side. I know writing is my calling, and I always promised to get back to it when life eased up. A few years later with a little push from my husband, here I am today. Aside from my own blog, I am now a part of the ABQ Moms Blog! It’s the coolest opportunity to share some things with ya’ll! I am so thrilled to contribute to this community of mamas because we know just how much it takes a village to do this mom thing so I am beyond grateful to connect with you all!
