What to know before you go: Epiphany Espresso

0

Here in Albuquerque we are lucky to have a number of wonderful local coffee shops, like Epiphany Espresso.  I always want to try them, but then I remember that I have kids who are with me almost all the time.  So instead of casually popping into that new, trendy coffee shop I end up driving through Starbucks.  Don’t get me wrong. I’m thankful for the drive-through (so thankful!), but I think I might be missing out on some awesome espresso.

If you, like me, have a little FOMO about missing out on the local coffee scene, I’m here to help!  For the sake of all coffee loving moms in our city, I will go forth into these delightful coffee shops.  I will bring back valuable information to all of my fellow moms like when to go, where to park, and whether or not you should bring the kids along.   I’ll take it one coffee shop at a time and post on here all the things that you need to know before you go.

Epiphany Espresso is the first stop on our local coffee shop tour!  I took a field trip there a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint.  Epiphany Espresso is located in Green Jeans Farmery off of I-40 and Carlisle.  Green Jeans is a delightful place all its own full of delicious restaurants, bars, indoor/outdoor seating and, of course, Epiphany Espresso.

Epiphany Espresso

My crew and I went to Epiphany Espresso on a weekday morning around 10:30.  I ordered my usual cafe mocha (16oz) , a hot chocolate for the little one, a latte (160z) for my husband, and a hot tea for Hammie (our name for Grandma).  Our total came to about $12.  The baristas were incredibly friendly and helpful and even waved hello to my little ones.  We sat outside for a bit and let the boys play in the playhouse.  That’s right, play house!  The coffee itself is worth a return trip, but the outdoor seating/play area is definitely the cherry on top.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

Epiphany Espresso

Hours:

M-F: 7:00am-4:00pm

Sunday:  8:00am-2:00pm

When to go to Epiphany Espresso:

My simple answer to this is anytime.  Meet a friend in the afternoon. Take your kids in the morning. Honestly, anytime is a good time to visit this gem of a coffee shop.

Where to Park:

Parking is pretty obvious once you pull up to Green Jeans but there is not a lot of it.  With that said, I have never had trouble finding a parking spot.

What to get:

Choose from there large selection of specialty espresso drinks like the Tiramisu Mocha or a Vanilla Lavender Latte.  They also have standard espresso drinks, tea, and hot chocolate for the little ones, and they carry pastries from the New Mexico Pie Company!

Who to bring:

This is definitely a place to bring the kids.  In fact, it’s a place for the whole family!  The inside of Epiphany Espresso is fairly small, but I recommend going on a sunny day so you can take advantage of the outdoor seating.

Overall, I say that Epiphany Espresso is a must try!  Friendly service, kid friendly environment, yummy coffee and delicious pastries.  We will definitely be going back soon!
