Next to pie, cookies are probably my favorite dessert. But I’m really picky about my cookies. I’m not a huge fan of crunchy/hard cookies (though there are a few that I will happily munch on). No, I’m a purist. The epitome of the picky dessert lover. Chewy middle, crisp edges, with the right balance of sweet and salt. Yeah…I’m totally craving a chocolate chip cookie now…or two.
So I thought I would share with you some of the best places for cookies in Albuquerque, because, why not?
I’m always looking for the best cookies around town. With the holiday season coming upon us, I thought I’d share some of my favorite cookie shops/bakeries so you too can enjoy their awesomeness.
- Rude Boy Cookies- I’d be remiss not to mention these guys. They have some tasty morsels, but two of my favorites that stand out: 1. The double chocolate cookie. Dark chocolate base with chocolate chips mixed in. It’s divine. I promise. 2. The Key Lime Pie bar. It’s to DIE for. Seriously. So freaking good. I love that thing to the moon and back. It’s a month special that I personally think should be added to their menu on a permanent basis, but I’m not the boss so I’ll have to dream about it 11 months out of the year. Luckily, the last two years it’s been the bar of the month during March, my birthday month.
- Le Chantilly– Le Chantilly has been around for as long as I can remember. Every year at Easter the Easter bunny would leave us a basket of treats to find hidden around our house. It ALWAYS included a sugar cookie or two from Le Chantilly. I love them so much we have the same tradition with our boys. I promise, you won’t regret it. (Pick up a bowtie while you are there- they are divine).
- Cinnamon Sugar and Spice– If you haven’t enjoyed breakfast or lunch here yet, do yourself a favor and go. Enjoy a tasty dish and then enjoy their shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate. You won’t regret it. (and if you really want to indulge, get a pecan sticky roll. OMG. There are no words.)
- Flying Star– Unsurprisingly, Flying Star has a delicious assortment of cookies to enjoy and choose from. Personally, I’m partial to their ginger/molasses cookie, pumpkin spice cookie and their chocolate chip cookie. They are all on point.
Where do you get your cookies from? Who am I missing? I’m personally chomping at the bit to get down to Sugar Crush Sweet Studio and check out some of their confections.
