Albuquerque

My husband and I relocated to Albuquerque in 2009.  Since I am originally from Portland, Oregon, it was quite the change! I have grown to love Albuquerque and have formed friendships that have become family here. I love the big skies, the pink mountains, the slow pace, and the unique culture of this place that I am proud to call home.  Living in the International District of Albuquerque, I get to enjoy the diversity that our city has to offer. You can find the best tacos in the city in my hood!

Albuquerque is an amazing place for the outdoor enthusiast.  With the Sandias to our east and the Petroglyphs to our west, there are endless miles of hiking trails.  I love soaking up the Albuquerque sun that shines year round. And we get just the right amount of snow in the winter!  If I’m not outside, you may find me in one of our local coffee shops, because coffee is one of life’s great joys, right?

Mom

Being a mom is my number one job, and definitely the hardest one!  I have four kiddos that call me Mama. Gabriel, my spunky 9-year-old. Lucas, my sensitive 6-year-old. Liliana my sassy 4-year-old. And Marco, my bruiser of a 2-year-old.  Motherhood is the biggest source of refinement in my life.  These sweet little ones keep me humble and show me that I am in constant need to slow down and learn more.  As much as I invest and teach them, they teach me two-fold!

A lot of my time is spent in my minivan taxiing my kiddos from here to there

Blog

I am excited to be a part of the Albuquerque Moms Blog team as the Sales Coordinator.  Let’s face it moms, it takes a village!  And I’m thrilled to be a part of the ABQMB village! I’m passionate about women and moms, and I’m looking forward to connecting moms to each other and to Albuquerque’s great local businesses.

Emily Diaz
Emily is a blessed and busy wife and mama of four. She met her husband on a mission trip in high school and they began their relationship speaking only the language of love, as they were unable to speak each other's languages. They now lead a wild and crazy bilingual life mixing their Mexican and American cultures here in Albuquerque. Emily enjoys a good cup O'joe, brunch, and the outdoors (yay Albuquerque sun!). She and her husband planted a local Spanish-speaking church and she enjoys volunteering her time there. She loves this city and is passionate about serving moms and kids.
