The Easiest Thing You’ll Do This Holiday Season :: Order Dion’s Catering for Your Next Party

This post is brought to you by Dion's. We at Albuquerque Moms Blog choose to work with businesses we feel bring value to our readers.

Before I had kids, one of the many jobs I had was working as a personal assistant. My boss was a foodie and wanted meals or snacks at every meeting. I became a pro at estimating how much food is needed to satisfy everyone, without having leftovers. Unfortunately, it has been over ten years since my pro days and my food-estimating-super-power is long gone.

The Easiest Thing You'll Do This Holiday Season :: Order Dion's Catering for Your Next PartyI was not aware of the loss when I volunteered at a recent moms group meeting to order food for our upcoming holiday party. I had a rough head count, a budget, some diet restrictions and a short list of restaurant suggestions; but I wanted to try something new this year.

Fortunately, I recently noticed a catering section on the Dion’s to-go menu. Pizza and salads were perfect for our party.

Plus, Dion’s also has a product called Box O’ Subs that has 24, four-inch subs. Using their menu, I selected several menu items, keeping my rough headcount in mind, and I noticed my super power of food estimating came back!

I confirmed the time we wanted the food to arrive at the party, and I worked backwards to create my timeline so the hubs and I would be dressed before picking up the food.

With my order and timeline in hand, I called the Dion’s catering number to place our order.

I chatted with the lovely catering rep for several minutes explaining how many attendees we were expecting, our diet restrictions, and confirmation that I had ordered enough food for everyone. To my surprise, she asked for the address of where our food would be delivered.

Delivery? Yes please.

Having Dion’s deliver our food gave me an extra 30 minutes in my timeline. As if delivery wasn’t exciting enough, the total was under budget and that was after meeting the $150 delivery threshold!

I noted the call time on my phone as I hung up with Dion’s and did some quick math. Including my planning time, I had only spent 30 minutes getting all the food organized and ordered for one of our larger events! Only 30 precious minutes had been used during my afternoon quiet time, while the baby napped and my daughters read books.

If only everything this holiday season could be this easy! Happy Holidays to me.
