Girls Night Out

5/4 @ 5-10 PM Isleta Resort and Casino. The 13th annual Girls Night Out is a wonderful event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Foundation here in Albuquerque. Enjoy beauty and wellness treatments, vendors, photobooth fun, performances, and of course drinks with your girls.  Tickets can be found here.


Girls on the Run Rio Grande Spring 5k

5/5 @ 7:45 AM Aperture Center at Mesa del Sol. In honor of the Girls on the Run 10 week season coming to an end, join the participants in a pre-race party, a community 5K along Mesa del Sol’s recreational trail system, and a post 5K celebration. More info and tickets here. 


Cinco de Mayo Folk Art Fest 2018

5/5 @ 10-4 PM La Parada. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year with tons of local folk artists, music from Mariachi Amor and Alpha Blue, and food and drinks from Farm and Table. All the info on this event can be seen here


Mariachis de Neuvo Mexico

5/5 @  Isotopes Park. Join the Mariachis de Nuevo Mexico (Albuquerque Isotopes) as the take on the El Paso Chihuahuas. They will in their new name and new uniform for one night only, a great way to celebrate our New Mexican culture while watching some good baseball. For tickets to this game click here


Run for the Zoo

5/6 @ 7 AM ABQ BioPark Zoo. Don’t miss the 33rd annual Run for the Zoo benefiting our own ABQ BioPark. With something that will fit every member of the family you can sign up for the Half Marathon, 10K Timed Run, 5K Timed Run, 5K Fitness Walk or 1 Mile Fun Run. For more information, visit the website here

Albuquerque MAMA Summit!

5/8 AT 3-5 PM at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Moms, families and our local elected officials come together on May 8th for our first ever city-wide Mama Summit. Together, we’ll work with our local officials and Mayor Tim Keller to build a healthier, safer, and cleaner Albuquerque for the sake of our kids. The goal of this day of action is to amplify the message of fighting for clean air and protecting children’s health; we will hear from local elected officials who are taking necessary actions on climate and clean air in the absence of federal leadership through local means of governance. Les Misérables

5/8-13 times vary Popejoy Hall. One of the most celebrated and well-known musicals in history makes a pit stop here in Albuquerque to recreate the story of heartbreak and vitality. Producer Cameron Mackintosh takes this classic and reimagines the imagery and staging to put on a performance not soon forgotten. For tickets check out their website here.

2018 Albuquerque Tequila, Taco, & Cerveza Fest

5/11 @ 5-10 PM Sandia Resort & Casino. One admission includes 10 .25 oz samples of any of the vast selection of tequilas offered. Also enjoy all the tacos you can eat and lots more! Learn more about the TTC fest here. 



Aquarium Overnight

5/18 @ 6:30pm ABQ BioPark Aquarium. Bring your jammies and sleeping bags and come spend the night with the fishies and the sharks at the ABQ BioPark Aquarium. For information on tickets please visit the BioPark website.


30th Annual Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival

5/19-20 times vary Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park. Come join in on Albuquerque’s biggest Celtic festivals. Amongst the celebration is Celtic food, performers, competitions, and more to help celebrate the 7 Celtic Nations. All the information on this festival can be found here. 


34th Annual Museum Car Show

5/20 @ 10-3:30 PM Albuquerque Museum. This annual car show features all different kinds of makes and models. Showcasing classic and exotic vehicles from SUVS to motorcycles, this years show focuses on “Vintage Imported Vehicles.” For info visit the website here. 


5/26-28 times vary Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park. An Albuquerque favorite, enjoy wine from all over the state of New Mexico. ABQ Blues & Brews

5/27 @ 2-6pm Sandia Resort & Casino.  A 21+ event, spend the afternoon listening to great blues and drinking great brews! Take your pick from 60 different craft breweries and local musicians across different stages. For tickets and info please click here.  


A Memorial Day Celebration

5/28 @ 9-11 AM New Mexico Veterans Memorial. A special event to honor the men and women of service who served and sacrificed for our great country. To learn more about this event click here



Recurring Events

Rail Yards Market

Starting 5/6 every Sunday through October. Over 100 local vendors selling everything from fresh produce to fine arts. With a different theme every week in this unique setting, the Rail Yards Market is fun for the whole family. For more info check here. 


Kids Yoga at Yoga Art Space

Every Tuesday and Sunday. Each Tuesday and Sunday bring your child to get their yogi on at this half hour class. They offer classes for mamas as well! For more information on schedule, pricing, and instructors visit the website here.


Tasty Tuesdays

Every Tuesday Hyder Park. An evening of great fun for the whole family, bring your blankets, toys, and empty stomachs. Family Art Workshop

Every Saturday through June. Fun and learning for the whole family at our Albuquerque Museum. There will be a different project every week—Class is free with Admission so the family can enjoy learning about our history before or after your art class! More info on the Art Workshops here.


Read to the Dogs

Toddler Time at Explora

Spook Troop Ghost Hunting Tour

Every Weekend @ 6 PM History & Ghost Tours of Old Town. A children friendly ghost hunting outdoor tour. Ages 6-12 JR. Ghost hunters are invited to come take part in this information filled tour. Check it out here


Downtown Growers’ Market
