I love to celebrate. If only my check-book agreed. I love any reason to celebrate life. But there is one celebration that tugs at my heart every year.
St. Patrick’s day.
I love St. Patrick’s day!
Here is the thing though. It’s not about the beer, the green, or the luck. Back in my College years, yes, it was all about the luck. Okay, okay and the beer too.
But it has always been a celebration I loved, because it was my fathers birthday and I am IRISH. and German. and American. and some Spanish. BUT hey, My last name is Murphy, so I claim IRISH all the way. Its was fun to celebrate my fathers birthday on St. Patrick’s day. Now in memory of him I carry on that celebration tradition with my kids.
On St. Patrick’s day we will enjoy a local festivity, cook the traditional Cornbeef and Cabbage, celebrate life and Jesus Christ. Did you know shamrocks are a St. Patrick tradition because St. Patrick used them to explain the trinity? There is so much rich history behind this day. So today I have provided a list of St Patrick’s Celebration festivities in and around Albuquerque.
May the luck of the Irish be with you.
