Rebecca Contributor

Rebecca is thankful to be both a wife and mother.  Although not a New Mexican native, she has a long history with the state and is glad to be back in Albuquerque after spending a few happy years in the San Francisco Bay Area (which admittedly does have better food…).  Rebecca dedicates most waking hours (and some non-waking hours) caring for her three adorable children three and under (Zach, Adeline, and Zoey).  Rebecca is passionate about truth, and loves thinking about the rationale behind parenting decisions– whether it’s theological, philosophical, or scientific.  In addition to pouring herself out for her family, Rebecca loves a good café and dabbling in photography.  She invites you to follow her on Instagram @rebecca_looker.

Missy Albuqquerque Moms blog

Missy is an Albuquerque transplant from Iowa. She is wife to Lucas and mom to Everett (2 yrs. old) and Etta (4 mo. old). This Hawkeye family became Lobos as Lucas completes his MFA in Creative Writing at UNM. Missy completed her Masters in Social Work at the University of Iowa and has over a decade of experience in nonprofit work. Her favorite jobs have been her years with Big Brothers Big Sisters and her experiences as a psychotherapist. She currently works from home editing and designing Environmental Contractor, a magazine for professionals in the waste industry. Missy loves naps and exploring Albuquerque with her family.

Katie is a native New Mexican who loves living in Albuquerque with her husband, Matt and three kids (Addy, Remi and Britton). With a background in journalism and hospitality, Katie loves to write and is passionate about the beautiful state she calls home. When she’s not changing diapers, searching for lost toys or sweeping food off the floor, she enjoys reading and making fun crafts. While pregnant with her first baby, she re-discovered crocheting and eventually opened an Etsy Shop, Handmade in the 505  where she sells crocheted baby hats. Since becoming a momma, almost five years ago, one of Katie’s favorite things has been meeting and connecting with other moms. Some of her best friendships have developed over conversations about sleep patterns and potty training.

Jane lives with her husband and two daughters, Haven and Vivienne, in the East Mountains. She describes herself as Tex-Mex. Growing up in Texas until the age of 14, she moved to ABQ her freshman year of high school. She has moved back and forth to Texas twice, but the mountains keep calling her back. She fancies herself a hippy who brews her own kombucha and loves to hike, but in keeping with her Texas upbringing rarely leaves home without mascara and lipstick on. Her passion is writing and she holds a degree in Creative Writing from UNM.

Mandie is a stay at home momma to two sweet girls, ages 3 and 1. In a former life, she blogged frequently, slept in a lot, and loved to sew and sell on Etsy, but now she sleeps very little, changes a lot of diapers, and hasn’t seen her sewing machine in months. She enjoys play dates, grown-up dates with her husband Gabe, and pretending that she has a green thumb. Oh, and food. Definitely good food. She’s pretty active on Instagram, too, at @mandiesegura.
